The Loft at Liz's Diverted Destruction Workshop is back for its 5th year of creative construction!
Our workshop is a blend of eco-friendly reuse, instruction and interactive exhibition. Each year Liz Gordon (Liz's Antique Hardware and The Loft at Liz's) collects a wide array of packaging, antique hardware, found objects and various ephemera. Items of would-be landfill are deconstructed, conserved, upcycled, reconstructed and re-used in wondrously creative ways. Top assemblage artists will be on-hand sharing their own works and engaging workshop participants in their own creations. This event is open to all ages and no charges apply.
This year's featured artists include:
Amy Jean Boebel
Bobby Furst
Clare Graham
Maddy LeMel
Dave Lovejoy
Dominique Moody
Frank Miller
Victoria Roberts
S.A. Schimmel-Gold
Ching Ching Cheng
Participants are encouraged to bring any materials they wish though much will be provided. Refreshments will be served. To learn more about this exhibit and workshop, visit the gallery at www.theloftatlizs.com.
Found art is extremely interesting and often overlooked. I found quite a number of artists I resonated with.
