Game Fest & Food Fair: Gaming Peeps! (Hosted by WGN)

Let's get ready for another Game Fest & Food Fair!

Join Us for Westside Geeks & Nerds' 10th Game Fest & Food Fair event!

Come celebrate an spring-themed (slightly Easter-inspired) gaming event!

The Game Fests are very lively, super fun, highly diverse, and social, featuring tabletop and console gaming, and food and drink of all kinds!

If you love all-night gaming, cool geeky company, and lots of food, this event's for you!

We'll be gaming it up in a large 5,000 sq. ft. filming studio in the Echo Park/Silver Lake area.

Lots of room and very chill specs.

When: April 26th, Saturday

Time: 7pm - 4am

Where: Evidence Film Studios

Admission Fee: $12 cash at the door with ID check, day of the event.

However, for prepaid online ticket, the cost is $10.

PayPal the $10 fee by RSVPing to the event at WGN's meetup group.

You can also pay directly through this link. Send payment to the address: [masked]:

Once your PayPal fee is paid, your spot for admission will be marked down on a prepaid guest list which will be checked at the door.

If you bring guests, they must also pay attendance fee at the door.

WGN will be providing food at the event. We'll have a pop-up cafe/restaurant for guests with a menu available.

Please bring cash for the event for any purchases.

However, you are also welcome to bring your own food to eat, if you wish.

We strive to provide yummy food and quality service for our guests. And we always welcome feedback from guests for future events (menu item suggestions, etc.).

Vegans, vegetarians, and those sensitive to gluten will be considered for the menus. As a vegan, I'll personally make sure to cover that base. So there will be both savory and dessert options for the non-meat eating lot! :)

The Game Fest atmosphere is shaped by what guests decide to bring to the event. You guys are the entertainment architects.

Please bring your favorite board and tabletop games to share and play with others. Think of variety. Both simple/gateway and complex/core games are encouraged.

We also like to set up a video gaming room for every event, so bring video gaming equipment such as consoles, laptops, monitors, controllers, and the like. If you'd like to bring a projector for dance games, please let me know, so we can set it up beforehand or make room for those activities.

Note: Whatever games and equipment you bring, you are totally responsible for. Please keep this in mind.

If you'd like to tag your games with a sticker or marker to show ownership, please do so. I advise it.

For special event activities, look forward to:

• Easter basket digs for prizes and cash

• Hourly raffles with cool wins

• Easter egg dying contest (grand prize goes to best Easter egg design)

and more...

Alcohol will be on the premises, but we have strict rules on drinking behavior.

Alcohol is free when provided by WGN, but we will have a box for voluntary cash donations when we serve you alcohol from our pop-up cafe.

Also you are free to bring your OWN alcohol but please remember these guidelines:

You MUST be 21+ to drink and MUST drink responsibly.

Inebriated/drunk guests will not be welcomed back to any future events and will be removed from the group.

WGN is insured for the event and is not responsible for consequences of inebriated guests. However, again, we will not tolerate inebriated guests.

I am responsible for maintaining the integrity and quality of the rented venue and the venue owner ALSO has rules that must be respected. Also, drunk guests bring about potential hazards to the safety and well-being of board and video gaming equipment that people bring.

Last but not least, please bring the most important thing of all:

An unadulterated desire and craving to have lots of fun! And your geeky/nerdy self!

Can I bring my girlfriend? She's not a member of LADA yet, but I can get her to join first if needed

Hi Brian, this event is actually by Westside Geeks and I believe they allow guests as long as they also pay the $10 fee because the group rents the space. If you have othe r questions, contact Ally the event host

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
