Los Angeles has a reputation for judging people based on attractiveness. Can you truly form an authentic connection with a person when we place such a high premium on physical appearance? Blogger Lindsey writes, "I just had a conversation about meeting people when you’re single. She said that it’s so sad that a lot of guys only want to talk to girls who “look good.” I have a lot of friends who are not conventionally “model-size” or have the perfect balanced proportions, and you know what? They are some of the most awesome people that I know."
From Erika Licón, When asked whether I wanted to "push the envelope" and roll with the premise "beauty may be skin deep," my response, "YES!!!." Think of a classic line from the Beatles' "Come Together," "Got to be good looking because it's so hard to see."
What does this mean for you, for us?
