"Beauty and Self-Perception" Event at V Lounge

https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=KTCZSh4v2e4

Los Angeles has a reputation for judging people based on attractiveness. Can you truly form an authentic connection with a person when we place such a high premium on physical appearance? Blogger Lindsey writes, "I just had a conversation about meeting people when you’re single. She said that it’s so sad that a lot of guys only want to talk to girls who “look good.” I have a lot of friends who are not conventionally “model-size” or have the perfect balanced proportions, and you know what? They are some of the most awesome people that I know."

From Erika Licón, When asked whether I wanted to "push the envelope" and roll with the premise "beauty may be skin deep," my response, "YES!!!." Think of a classic line from the Beatles' "Come Together," "Got to be good looking because it's so hard to see."

What does this mean for you, for us?

This is a coaching social after all; we don't glaze over the junk, beauty generally being accepted as being skin deep. We ask the "hard stuff" in a FUN setting to Deconstruct the Junk, Reconstruct us as Magnificent Beauties, and Master Conveying What Makes Us Attractive!

Yes, attraction may be skin deep. But when we meet someone, we meet them with ALL of our senses, not just our vision.

Let’s have FUN!

Know, I mean really know, what you makes YOU attractive.

Then, explore mastering how you accentuate + convey YOUR attractive qualities.

Yes, beauty is generally skin deep, blah, blah, blah, so this is what we are conditioned for.

BUT, guess what when you know yourself and know how to authentically express it, this is ATTRACTIVE!

Get feedback as to what you convey about YOURSELF +

Practice emphasizing what makes YOU Attractive in a FUN relaxed setting!

Then, afterwards shake it off, let it rip, with some rocking Karaoke!

This event was suggested by a project developed by organizer J.J.

Facilitated by Erika Licón, JD, MA, NLPC. Erika is a former business litigation attorney turned kick-ass passionate Transformational Coach + Executive Coach. I'd like to thank Erika and Miguel for a truly powerful evening. And I'd like to thank everyone who attended. Each of you--contributing in your own way--is what made it unique and special. I'll keep this series going--what I'm going to call the "Happy Single Series"--as long as the membership demonstrates interest.

Now the the unpleasant stuff.. If your name is not on the sign-in sheet you will be kicked out of LAFC. If you forgot to sign-in please email me asap. (Joe-I signed you in ;-) )

I don't recall signing in. Would u be so kind as to mark me down as well? Thanks again Lionel. Well done!

Lol. The old Lionel would've had quite the reply for that--in his own obtuse fashion--for all the internet to see. The transformed Lionel will just say "I'll mark you attended." :-)

What a wonderful concept. I imagine the next coaching social will be even more relaxed and productive now that we all know better what to expect. Just a bit saddened to hear Erika won't be in a position to do these more frequently. I highly recommend members come to her next one with open minds and hearts to experience simple, yet powerful transformation. Love and Light to All!

I'd say "how" is through awareness. Listening, truly listening and being willing to see differing perspectives as at least as valid as our own.

As for particulars, that's what attending such an event fosters - the intimacy to share safely.

Thank you Erika, I really enjoyed the time spent. I feel I learned about perception, again. I wish the group size would have been a bit smaller, so we could Each verbalize, about ourselves, and hear what other people felt.

This was a beautiful event. In a short amount of time we were able to get to know ourselves more clearly and learn about the thoughts and feeling of some really great people.

Don't miss what looks like be a rare opportunity to mingle and reflect in a Vibrant Fun Coaching Social setting. I love coaching socials, but a wonderful project just landed on my lap, so my availability to host coaching socials will be incredibly limited. Hopefully, every 3 months? Just in case, let's make this really SPECIAL!
