The New Valley Symphony performs Bizet's Carmen Suite, Dvorak's New World Symphony and other selections. The music of Carmen has been widely acclaimed for its brilliance of melody, harmony, atmosphere and orchestration, and for the skill with which Bizet musically represented the emotions and suffering of his characters. Feel free to come by yourself--you won't be by yourself for long!

The New Valley Symphony Orchestra was founded in 1968 and is led by A. Phoenix Delgado. The orchestra strives to provide the community with a wide range of symphonic music of the highest quality possible at no cost to the listener, with emphasis on our youth.

ATTENTION: we did not have a sign-in sheet for this event. IF YOU ATTENDED send me an email within 48 hours. I will then go through the attendee list and kick out repeat flakes.

The suggestion that it's only fun if one is allowed to be irresponsible and unaccountable is absurd, and completely disrespectful. Organizers and hosts put countless hours and financial commitments into these events. All they ask in return is that you actually do what you say you're going to do. That's how social commitments work.

Rome, I don't have a problem with you attending on your own. But you rsvped for yourself+3. Next time don't rsvp at all. Thanks.

A delightful selection of music by a very competent orchestra, performed in a unique setting. Thanks for hosting, Karen. HOWEVER: Karen is too nice to say this so I will: It is reprehensible that out of 84 people who RSVP'd yes, only seven of us bothered to show up and check in with Karen. She stayed dutifully outside the entrance until long past the appointed time, looking for all of you. Meanwhile, inside, those of us who showed up were attempting to save a large block of seats, pointlessly as it turned out, for all of you flakes. Irresponsible no-shows are what drive Meetup organizers to stop posting events. Changing an RSVP takes all of 10 seconds, and if you can't be bothered to do that, you shouldn't be involved with Meetup to begin with. Seven out of 84 is pathetic. Some of you are in groups I run -- don't plan on signing up for any of my upcoming events.

She told you precisely where to meet her. Precisely. Did you read the description?

Thanks, Tim!!! So tired of the goofy flakes. Imagine how they run the other aspects of their lives.

Please do not kick me out. I did attend the concert of The New Valley Symphony with my friend Gretchen. Looked for the sign but did not find it. We totally enjoyed every second and we were surprised it was so much more than just the Bizet. The commentary by the conductor was very well done.

I would like to personally thank Karen who reluctantly stepped up to Host this event and did a fantastic job! The most important person in this group is the Sign Holder. LAFC does not have No Host events and events without a sign-holder are cancelled. Thank you again Karen.
