(FREE) Breakestra and Bibi Tanga & The Selenites

Experience the future of funk direct from Paris with singer, bassist and bandleader Bibi Tanga, whose sinuous basslines and wicked falsetto evoke a funky fusion of Prince and Cee Lo Green. Tanga and his band create a sound where Afro-futurism meets Curtis Mayfield and Fela Kuti jams with Sidney Bechet, all with a hint of Parisian chic.
Composer/multi-instrumentalist Miles “Music Man” Tackett and his band remind us that the funk is still very much alive. Native to L.A., Breakestra weaves old school hip-hop breaks with the raw grooves and horns of 60’s soul/jazz/funk.

We attended Bibi Tanga & The Selenites, it was quite entertaining, we liked it a lot. We hope to see more groups like them in the future.
