Announcing a new event for Pub Crawlers of Downtown Los Angeles!
What: Going Hollywood at the Dresden
When: Saturday, January 19, 9:00 PM
Where: Click the link below to find out!
Event Description: Yes, the Dresden Restaurant is famous for movies like Swingers, That Thing You Do with Tom Hanks and a host of others that have chosen it for location shoots. It's been around since 1964 and still carries itself with that air of the 60s.
At the bar, blue glasses are seen before patrons as they sip the house classic Blood and Sand--a space age margarita--and of course the ubiquitous martinis and Manhattans. Glasses of wine are popular, but the best choice is a bottle from the Dresden's 33-bin wine list. There is only standing room late at night, but there's never with a cover charge. It is the Hollywood place to be and be seen. It's not a super expensive place like Perino's or Chasen's were, but more like the famous Brown Derby. First rate, yet affordable for the average person.
I know this is the Downtown Pub Crawlers, but we're an adventurous lot, so why not check out a new place? Marty and Elayne(the group from the movie Swingers) start their set at 9pm so lets have a martini and check out this hip Hollywood icon. Note: Street parking is available, valet also available behind the club.
