10 Mile Early Morning JMF Horine Trail Mix

 SATURDAY SPECIAL MORNING HIKE

A beautiful senic 10 mile hike for those who wish to enjoy the forest this Saturday morning. THERE ARE LOTS OF VERY STEEP HILLS, so its not easy. We will be mostly in the Horine section.

* Difficulty level: Strenuous due to steep hills and distance

* Distance and Pace: 10 Miles, faster pace workout

* Route:  A special mix of the Blue, Red, and Orange trails in the Horine section.

* Regrouping: We will stay together the entire hike and take a couple of breaks as needed

* What to Bring: Comfortable shoes, lots of water, a snack and bug spray

* Special considerations: Possible encounter with poison ivy, ticks and a very small chance of a poisonous snake

Yes, it was a beautiful morning on the trail. Nice seeing you.

I was in oxygen debt (obviously) when I told you to stop by Group site 3 next week. We have the site Oct 18-20th. Stop by then for coffee, not next weekend.

Todays hike for me was the best that Ive been on. The forest was amazingly beautiful. The creek was flowing and had a waterfall. The animals were lively. The few of us that were there had a great time. im sorry that the weather was wet but it made for some great hiking conditions and beautiful sights. Thanks to everyone that attended I know we were few but this was my favorite and most fun hike yet!!! I hope everyone else doesnt let the weather keep you away the next time you truely missed an amazing hike! have a great day all!

What a way to start a day, light rain and a 10 mile hike, life is good.

Good morning everyone! It's looking like we will have done light rain this morning. Please bring rain gear if you need it? Also don't forget your water and a snack bug spray and a jacket if you need one. I will see you in just a little bit. Hike on baby!!!

I doubt if it will be really sloppy but I'm sure there will be some mushy spots.

I am keeping an eye on the weather too. Will it be pretty sloppy or slippery after all this rain?

    September 20, 2013

Good morning all! The meteorologists are predicting rain thru the night and into the morning so I will be keeping an eye on the weather throughout the day and will post a cancellation if I feel it needed. Please check before leaving to head to the forest in the morning. Have a great day today and let's hope the rain has passed by early morning. I'd hate to miss a hike!

I suggest the Tuesday or Thursday hike for you. It should be challenging and allow you to gauge if you're ready for 10 miles

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
