Feeling like you need new challenge or possibly new moderate to strenuous trail to hike? Let's switch it up a bit and hike the Scott's Gap Trail in JMF. This hike has lots of great scenery so enjoy the views while burning those calories!

Where to meet: Parking lot of Scott's Gap Trail (off of Stonestreet)

    Pace: moderate to strenuous hiking.

Note: This hike will start at 6:30p.m. We will need to leave on time so please come early to allow time for you to use bug spray and get warmed up.

What to bring: Water, Bug Spray, Bandana (optional) and great big smile!

Directions: Gene Snyder West to Stonestreet Rd. (it's past National Turn Pike & New Cut Rd exits) turn left at bottom of Stonestreet exit. Stonestreet will turn into Blevins Gap Rd. You will follow this road for about 3 miles or so. Do NOT turn when you see the Welcome Center sign! Keep straight! You will see a sign for Scott's Gap. Turn left onto Scott's Gap road (or as I like to think of it the road with the HUGE house on the corner) and the parking lot is a few miles down on the right. Please email me if you need further directions.

This doesn't look like a good day for us. The weather people have been wrong before but we will just have to watch and see. Obviously, I am not hiking in bad weather on this trail.

A little drizzle never killed nobody. I brought some very special water back with me from NC for the post-hike social. It will be well worth the drenching.

Brenda, I don't about this one today myself. Must have gotten a little ill from the heat yesterday. Am going to see what is going and then make a decision on this hike around noon.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
