Did anybody see what those sh!theads at Fox 7 news did after their visit to the Pittie Parade? I hate those people, they just had to go stir the pot. My wife said nothing good could come from them being at the event today and she was right.
No! Alex, where ? Id like to see anything that any news did on this event.
Here is a link to what KVUE news had to say about our wonderful event. It was more negative than positive and included a lot of unwaranted publicity.

They showed the Love-a-bull event for a few minutes, then they went down to the good reverend and wife who had their two Aussies attacked a month ago by their neighbors alleged Pitties. In that incident, the dogs got out of their yard (fence) again after multiple visits by animal control and went after a couple of neighbors Aussies. Fox 7 turned the camera on and asked a couple questions to get the Rev going and then let he and his wife rip into the breed with a lot of rumor and untruths.
I had a great time! It was awesome to see how many people came to support the cause. I have TONS of pictures. There are some very beautiful Pitbulls here in Austin! Way to go Love-A-Bull!!
Like my momma always said, "If you can't say something nice then don't say anything at all."
Great turn out today and all beautiful awesome pups! I posted pics on (Ban Ignorance against Pit Bulls) face book page. Post your pics and like it. Love-a-bull is doing great things good job guys keep it up!
Love-A-Bull worked so hard to bring in Shorty and Rescue Ink to the event and the turnout was more than anyone imagined. Everyone had a super time and much fun was had by all the pitties. I just wish the media would have focused on the "Possitive" side rather than the negative, which is the entire reason for the event. Lydia is doing a superb job promoting responsible ownership and the loving and loyal side of our breed.
The Fox 7 report I saw was at the Revs house. They must have gone downtown to do another interview for KVUE. Of course, there was not a word about the idiot, irresponsible owner who let his poorly socialized pack of dogs get loose time and time again. The media does not care one whit to make anything better or right, just wanna stir some sh!t. You would think somebody at one of these stations would have a conscience.
Wish 1 of the local news stations could have ran the story, without including the same story about the blue healer being attacked. Wish news coverage could just show the positive things responsible owners are doing for their pitties.
I have a question for the Love A Bull community: What can we do to counteract some of the negative and one-sided reporting from the media here in Austin? I feel like we need to do more to engage with people who have had a negative experience with the effects of poor dog guardianship. In the case mentioned below, could we counteract the negativity by going to meet with both parties with our CGC and therapy dogs. Something like that may not change everyone's mind, but maybe get them thinking.
This was a wonderful event, Love A Bulls should be so proud of all they have accomplished in changing the stereo type of these dogs...Seeing what can be done with work makes me determined to be more involved with this group...thanks to all who made this possible!
This was my first big Pittie event and I couldn't be happier on how it turned out! I totally agree that the media should have just reported the good stuff and try not to be one sided on this subject! They really like to bend the hell out of this breed and not show how AWESOME these dogs can be. But all in all AWESOME AND GREAT JOB Love-A-Bull, we're all here to back you up!!!!
I sent and e-mail to KVUE director and crew.
Reamed 'em good.
Everyone please do the same.
Fox 7 News is next!!!
Fox 7 has a pretty good report on their site now. Not too bad at all. The one I saw broadcast shortly after the event had an anti Pittie slant with the Pastor William interview and all. Seems that is gone off the the Fox News website now.
What an AWESOME day!Way to go Luv-A-Bull! We had a blast. It was so great to see how many people really support pitties and responsible ownership in Austin! Email has been sent to KVUE about their tasteless story!
Chrys,
I want to reply to you personally about our Sunday story concerning the pit bull parade in Austin. First and foremost, Kvue news was in error in reporting that the parade was "sparked after two recent pit bull attacks." We were inaccurate, and I've spoken to the producer and reporter involved in the story. We are correcting the error today in our 5pm newscast.
Our goal is accuracy in reporting and I apologize for letting you down.
