We're prepping for Texas-Sized Pittie Pride with our final (re-scheduled) Staffie Sentry training this coming Sunday!
Staffie Sentry volunteers help to monitor dogs, dog behavior, and make sure all two- and four-legged friends stay safe and happy. Volunteers will help in shifts throughout the day, during both the parade and festival.
If you're interested in volunteering to be a Staffie Sentry, come out to our training day to learn some basics about dog behavior and what to look for. You must attend at least one training session.
We are meeting at 2:00pm this Sunday, October 20 outside the Courtland Oaks Clubhouse immediately following the all-volunteer meeting (which we strongly encourage you also attend).
Wear comfortable shoes and bring water!
NO DOGS please! Do not bring your own dog. We have already chosen specific dogs to use as examples for the training.
Also, please make absolutely sure that you sign in at the training. We need to know that you attended in order to organize volunteers for the event.
You may have already received an email from our volunteer coordinator as well. Email getinvolved[at]love-a-bull.org with any questions.
Thanks and we'll see you there!
Directions: From Mopac exit Steck and go west toward Mesa Drive (you'll see a Luby's on the corner). Go up the hill to the stop sign and turn left on Greenslope Dr. Just a few houses down on the right next to 8122 Greenslope Dr. you'll see a wooden fence and a driveway with a Love-A-Bull yard sign and an iron gate which will be open. Drive in and you'll see the clubhouse on the right.
