FINAL Staffie Sentry Volunteer Training

FINAL Staffie Sentry training this time scheduled in the afternoon if you have not been able to attend yet, or would like a refresh. This is training (for people) on dog behavior to help us keep an eye on things during our Pit Bull Awareness Day event on October 28.

We need lots of help, so please come on out to learn from a pro! Staffie Sentry works in shifts throughout the day, during both the parade and festival, to monitor dogs and make sure everyone stays safe and happy.

We are meeting at 3:00 pm on Saturday, October 20 at the Statesman parking lot.

Wear comfortable shoes and bring water!

Please NO DOGS! Please do not bring your own dog, we have already chosen specific dogs to use as examples for the training.

Also, please make absolutely sure that you sign in at the training. We need to know that you attended in order to organize volunteers for the event.

Thanks and we'll see you there!

If we volunteer for the event, can we still have our dog there? I want my little man to be there.

We welcome you to bring your dog(s) to the event, HOWEVER we would prefer that during your volunteer shift you do not have your dog so that you can concentrate on your volunteer duties. We might suggest that you have a friend/family member/etc. to handle your dog during that time. Shift times vary depending on the duty.

the meeting says 3-4 but the invite says 11-12? Which would be the correct time?

It will be from 3-4 pm and is now updated. We changed the original time and forgot that piece. Thanks for letting us know!
