Enjoy the beautiful autumnal colours and abundance of deer in Richmond Park combined with the always lovely and varied Thames Path between Richmond and Kingston. As you will see from the pictures the park is looking stunning at the moment with the late autumn colours.
We start the walk at the riverside Boaters Inn pub in Kingston and a take a short roadside walk up to Richmond Park where we will head up to The Mound for some lovely views across the park and beyond. We then head to the very pretty Pen Ponds and then on to Pembrook Lodge for lunch (tea room or picnic). If it's nice we can sit outside and enjoy the views.
After lunch we head through the park to Terrace Gardens and more spectacular views - this time along the Thames. We head along Terrace Gardens to the riverside and head back to Kingston all the along the picturesque river, passing Teddington Lock en-route.
We then return to the Boaters Inn for some well-earned refreshments as the sun start to set!
The walk is mostly flat with I think just one little hill in Richmond Park!
