Richard Garcia's Poetry Workshop

Richard Garcia is a widely acclaimed writer and poet with several books and many awards to his credit, including the Georgetown Review Poetry Prize, a Cohen Award from Ploughshares, a Pushcart Prize, and a fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts. He has taught at the College of Charleston and the Antioch University Los Angeles MFA Program, in addition to many other less formal venues.

On the first Wednesday of every month, Richard shares valuable insights on the world of poetry and provides stimulating prompts to rouse your muse from its stupor.

Let the creativity flow from your soul!

I have been dabbling in poetry for years. I learned a lot at this meetup, and look forward to increasing my knowledge of poetry in general and refining my skills.

Mr. Garcia's workshop is always fun and informative. His understanding of structure, pace, and use of language helps even the most challenged, meaning me.
