West Ashley Wordsmiths

Tentative agenda:

1. Find the place. Total Wine & More is located on Ashley River Road (Hwy 61) at the intersection with Sam Rittenberg Blvd. (across from the Barnes and Noble shopping center).

2. Introductions as necessary, to include:
A. Background.
B. Writing aspirations.
C. What you would like to get from these meetings.

3. Optional assignment for those who need a nudge:

Bring two opposing forces together to produce conflict which will hold the reader’s interest by taking some everyday situation and twisting or embellishing it to make the experience scarier, sadder, happier, or more dangerous.

4. Share work for feedback. Please don’t let a lack of work keep you from attending. It is our mission to help you light that spark. If you post work ahead of time in The Reviewing Arena on the Message Board under the “Discussions” link at the top of your screen, we’ll be able to provide more constructive reviews based on detailed analysis.

5. Some spontaneous conjuring to stir the embers of your imagination.

6. Open forum. Topics could include, but are not limited to:

A Selecting a point of view.

B. For whom do you write?

C. Reflection.

Let the creativity flow from your soul!

Inspiration is basically invisible; like other very valuable emotions, and assets like Love, peace, and joy. You know it when you feel it. These emotions transfer in these meetings. I leave these meetings inspired by raw creativity, the bravery shown sharing ones heart, and the courage and willingness to break through barriers exhibited by the individuals of these groups.

It’s the intangibles that make life worth living!

I made my promised purchase from Total Wine to support our wonderful meetings.

I like this location the best it’s, in a private room with no cross talk from customers. I haven’t bought anything to support them. I am going to make a point to make a purchase next time.
I would like to say these writing groups are very encouraging and inspiring. Priceless! Thank you all.
    Peace,
    Tim

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
