West Ashley Wordsmiths

Tentative agenda:

1. Find the place. Total Wine & More is located on Ashley River Road (Hwy 61) at the intersection with Sam Rittenberg Blvd. (across from the Barnes and Noble shopping center).

2. Introductions as necessary, to include:

A. Background.
B. Writing aspirations.
C. What you would like to get from these meetings.

3. Optional assignment for those who need a nudge:

You find a note in your pocket, but you have no memory of it.  What does it say, and what do you do?

4. Share work for feedback. Please don’t let a lack of work keep you from attending. It is our mission to help you light that spark. If you post work ahead of time in The Reviewing Arena on the Message Board under the “Discussions” link at the top of your screen, we’ll be able to provide more constructive reviews based on detailed analysis.

5. Some spontaneous conjuring to stir the embers of your imagination.

6. Open forum. Topics could include, but are not limited to:

A.  Time management.

B.  Ghosts of writers passed.

C.  The adventure of imagination.

Let the creativity flow from your soul!

I always enjoy these meet ups! The people are just wonderful...talented, funny, thoughtful but not too serious, and just a joy to be around. Dave is definitely a wonderful protagonist and instigator...you go guy!

Sorry for the no show, but I woke up with a terrible cold and thought it would be a bit rude to share my cold with everyone else.

Hello writers. I expect to be at the gathering on Saturday but I may not get there. This is just a heads up. I don't like to be a no show. I like the group too much to miss.

Dave, if I haven't written on the subject, can I just bring the paper on previous prompt "the color of inspiration" (cuz I didn't make the cut for the Mt. P. mtg.)? I'll try to get something together for the new prompt but, just saying.....

Absolutely! Bring whatever you have. In case I failed to mention it before, we are very flexible around here.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
