Youth Program: Forestry (preK/elementary)

SHL has partnered with Charleston County Parks and Recreation to put together a themed set of programs for the year. This one will be the first of four programs in this Natural History of the Lowcountry series.

Kids will investigate various species of trees and plants and their roles in forest cycles. They will learn about tree growth rings and management techniques and write in field notebooks about tree characteristics.

Where: Cawcaw Interpretive Center

When: Saturday, 9/28; 1-2:30pm for preK/elementary, 3-4:30pm for middle/high

Cost: $5/child

Space is limited, RSVPs are required: [masked]

Please note that, due to space limitations, this program is for the children only.  Parents do not need to pay admission and are welcome to enjoy the park while their child(ren) attend the program.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
