Dig out your flip-flops, shorts, and sun-dresses, and get ready to enjoy good food and good conversation with your fellow free- thinkers and nontheists.
This year our annual May potluck will be held at RM Hendricks Park in North Charleston. From 526, take the Virginia Ave exit and turn right - the park is immediately on your left, directly across from the exit ramp. From East Montague/Park Circle business district, turn left onto Virginia Ave - the park is on your right (if you go under the Don Holt bridge you’ve gone too far).
Look for us in the picnic shelter. There is a nearby enclosed playground for the kids plus plenty of room for games, so bring your Frisbees, softballs, and bocce sets!
Bring a dish to share and get to know your fellow members over dinner. We are not assigning items, simply bring whatever food item you wish - salads, entrees, side dishes, and desserts are all good choices.
Note about alcohol: Alcohol is prohibited on North Charleston park property. Please do not bring alcohol.
We hope to see you there, and we would like to extend a special invitation to people on our mailing list who rarely come to meetings, as well as past speakers who are not members. There will be no meeting at Gage Hall this month but we will return to our regular meeting format in September.
We will have a brief business meeting at which we will elect our board of directors.
