Let's get started on a Happy New Year, Humanists! The SHL volunteer opportunity for January is working with the Charleston Parks Conservancy. We will be planting bulbs and assisting with the winter cut-back at Corrine Jones Park on the upper peninsula. Volunteers will be able to see the fruits of their labor in the coming spring!
Volunteers should dress for the outdoors and plan on meeting at Corrine Jones Park (36 Marlow Drive, Charleston, SC 29403) on Saturday, January 12th at 9am. We will meet up over by the playground. We hope to see you there!

Please RSVP or write with any questions to Aaron Zimmerman at [masked].

Had a fantastic time today with the Charleston Parks Conservancy! There were 16 of us plus two leaders from the CPC. We pruned back winter killed vegetation and then planted 2,000 daffodil bulbs. Definitely want to go back in March to see the flowers blooming.

I'll be there-I'll bring some of my own gardening tools, and be dressed appropriately, in other words, won't be afraid of getting dirty! Might bring bug spray too, given the warmer weather. Anyone for coffee after?

Hi Michelle. Just saw that you got called in to work instead. Sorry to hear that. We'll miss you!

I am a maybe. I'd really like to come, but I have something going on later that day (for which I'll need to prep earlier in the day) and I'm worried that it will interfere. I'll let you know for sure.

I'm surprised by the level of growth I've seen since becoming an organizer, it's given me more confidence in my abilities.
