Sunday Morning Topical Meeting

  • May 18, 2014 · 10:30 AM

What to expect: This monthly meeting typically begins with an introduction all around for the benefit of any first-time attendees, and discussion of any announcements, upcoming events, etc. We then move on to a topic of interest to atheists (usually) chosen beforehand. Sometimes participants bring print-outs of articles, research, or books to share on the topic, and sometimes people just come with a story or opinion to share.

We loosely moderate the topical discussion to give everyone a chance to participate. Then the conversation often flows onto other related subjects, sometimes in smaller conversation groups around the table.

If you have any ideas for meeting topics, please let any of the co-organizers know. We can also add announcements or "mini-topics" on the agenda if there's anything you'd like to share with the group.

Not bad but I wish people who attended SAB were there

I have to change my RSVP to "not going." I have a nephew that needs some caring for. Sorry I can't be there. Have a great Meetup!

18 May is the Garbage Trail Walk in W. Stockbridge, MA. It re-enacts Arlo Guthrie's "Alice's Restaurant" folk song/movie: http://www.garbagetrailwalk.org/GarbageTrailWalk/Welcome.html

Chester, thanks for the reminder. The event looks like a lot of fun. Too bad I won't be able to experience it this year. Have a great time when you go!

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
