Subject: [atheists-331] Writing letters to the editor

Hi everyone,
Just a reminder that writing letters to the editor is a simple way to
let people see there are opposite sides to issues. It only takes an
email. A person recently had a letter published in the Boston Globe
where he lamented that Happy Holidays was replacing Merry Christmas, and
we were losing a "Christian observance" and that "used to unite all of
us". My response was published yesterday, pointing out that the U.S.A.
was never a Christian nation and thus it only would unite a fraction of
the people, and Happy Holidays was more inclusive.
