Changed Location! - Chicago Tea Party
Chicago Tea Party on Tax Day!
The plan is to meet at Federal Plaza and march to the Michigan Avenue Bridge. This should be a well organized, well publicized, well covered event. And it should be a lot of fun.
Really, this is a great way to express your disgust at governments' gleeful confiscation of our hard earned wages.

We need every one to bring cameras to this event. WE NEED ALL KINDS OF PICTURES to post as this event will be big. Since we will have members all over we need to cover this storie ourselves. If you have a cam corder or other video recorder please bring it. We can take short interviews and post them on youtube for every one to see. We need to take the initiative and do this ourselves, do not expect some one else to take the pictures. We need you to help get this done.

There were over 2500 people there. Thank you to everyone who helped pass out flyers, with your help we were able to pass out over 2000 of them.

JamesFundraising Chair, Assistant OrganizerThere were about 1000+ people there from different groups and as individuals. They had decent speakers and and the mood waas generally upbeat! A lot of flyers and information was passed around. I had the opportunity to pass out about 150 of our flyers to different people. I know that a few others from the group did the same. So I think around 500 of our flyers got out. I also mete our newest member who said he would try to make the next meeting at the Lincoln Restaurant! The only negative was that I thought we were marching to Michigan Avenue to actually dump the tea in the river at some point. There were a ton of people who actually brought tea with them. But what happened is that I guess there was a march to Federal Plaza from Daley Plaza. Some wires must have gotten crossed! www.LibertyDol
