    •  GREAT--a chance to meet my senators and Reps so close I walked there! I spoke personally with both Diana Degette and Ed Perlmutter. And terrible--9News had eliminated discussion of WHETHER to shove Health "Care" down everyone's throat, and limited to which kind of rape you wanted. But the Congress critters had a lot to say and I learned quite a bit.
    •  The 5 Democrats from the CO congressional delegation made it abundantly clear that there is no question of whether or not their health care legislation will be passed - they are already talking about it in the past tense. The format was such that attendees were not able to speak - questions had been preselected, or you could text / email a question to the screeners. Applause, for statements you approved of, was discouraged. 9News staff members gamed the segment that was broadcast on the Saturday evening news by overlaying audio of Polis saying a public option was necessary (i.e. government ought to compete with the private sector) with applause from members of the audience. I was in the middle of that image. In reality, our applause was not for his comments but those of Coffman when he said Federal and State regulators should get out of the way and allow insurance providers to compete, thereby bringing down insurance premiums and improving service. All in all, very depressing.
