RTD tax HIKE / Urgent - help needed

I apologize for the short notice.  Tomorrow, March 23rd at 1:00 PM we will be having a meeting to discuss a proposed RTD tax hike to the tune of $3 million+ dollars (preliminary figure only).  The meeting will be at the Independence Institute at 727 E. 16th Ave., Denver, CO 80203.  You'll find parking at the lot across from the entrance and overflow metered parking on the street.  The meeting will start downstairs at 1:15 PM.

HB 1272 was introduced this last Tuesday and is attempting a massive tax increase without voter approval !!  Not only will it put possibly millions more in taxes into the Regional Transportation District (RTD) but also increase additional taxes to the Arts District (SCFD).  This is money that citizens need to keep and not have taken from them without their approval.

HB 1272 is scheduled to be heard by the House Finance Committee this Wednesday, March 27 at 1:30 pm.  The hearing will be held in the Legislative Service Building - Room A, this is the building to the south of the Capitol across 14th Ave.  Your voice is needed to testify at the Capitol.

HB[masked] text / RTD AND SCFD TAX HIKE

If you can't make the meeting tomorrow or the initial hearing on Wednesday, PLEASE spread the word.  This is an illegal, unconstitutional tax increase and it needs to be stopped!

I am happy to answer any questions, just call or email.

Thank you,
Natalie Menten

I cannot go because we are learning to suture today in p-group. You need to contact Jim Frye. He stood up to these guys last summer and back them down. I can send you the press release if you want to read it. Mr. Frye knows how to push their buttons.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
