Protest D.Degette's Empowering Women Speech at SMetro Chamber

I will bring signs. You are free to bring your own sign. Men are welcome to protest too, bring the crew!

I will be at Vine and Davies at 8:00 a.m. with signs. There is lots of parking there.

Diana DeGette is a fan of gun control. Congressperson Degette was the sponsor of the Federal Gun Control Bill in Congress in Washington. She does not recognize that when gun control laws are enacted, women suffer from the unintended consequences.

Women use firearms to commit crimes, like what took place at the Aurora theater, and the elementary school in Sandy Hook, so infrequently that you could say the chance of a woman committing such a gruesome crime is nearly ZERO.

Yet women have to abide by the same rules as the young men who committed these crimes. When statist legislators pass more gun control laws, women suffer the most. Ask any woman gun owner, and she'll tell you, a firearm is an equalizer against crime.

Since we are the weaker sex, women who own a firearm FEEL safer when they are home alone (and in fact the are). They FEEL safer when they are alone anywhere if they are a concealed weapons permit holder (because they are safer when they conceal carry). Isn't it all about FEELING for many of our legislators. I'll bet Diana DeGette plays on the FEELINGS of many of her constituents.

Diana DeGette will be speaking at 8:30 a.m. at the South Metro Chamber of Commerce about EMPOWERING WOMEN. Ironic huh?

This is the same Diana DeGette who thought that all gun magazines are disposable. Rhonda Fields' Bloomberg styled gun magazine bill caused a buying frenzy in Colorado of 30 round magazines. Ten of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of thirty round magazines were sold in Colorado, prior to these magazines becoming illegal on July 1, 2013. (A bill that Governor John Hickenlooper callously signed, showing he is clearly out of touch with the residents of Colorado.)

When questioned at a townhall a few months ago, about the buying frenzy that bill caused, Diana DeGette explained to a room full of pro-gun voters that firearms magazines are disposable. (HEAR and SEE it for yourself here  This clip also contains here wise crack about a concerned citizen being 'dead anyway' if he needed to defend himself against home intruders.)

One of the best skills a woman can possess is to be practiced with and knowledgeable of her gun. Show Congresswoman DeGette that women in Colorado are empowered by their guns. Show up to protest this clueless women, and her fluffy speech about 'Empowering Women.'  (I will bring signs.)

"The people who have those now, they are going to shoot them. So, if you ban them in the future, the number of these high capacity magazines is going to decrease dramatically, over time, because the bullets will be shot, and there won't be any more available."

Diana DeGette thinks outlawing magazines will diminish the amount of ammo in our culture. It is very sad that this woman is a lawmaker.

If I wasn't in class that morning I would attend. Afterwards you should all attend the Restore the 4th protest in Denver at the State Capitol @ 12pm. I don't care if I'm standing there alone. I will be there.
