Libertarians have always espoused the idea that community involvement and private charity are great alternatives to big government "solutions." The Libertarian Party of Arapahoe County (LPAC) is committed to making the public aware of libertarian principles, and we will be volunteering, as a county Libertarian affiliate party, for various charitable and community-oriented organizations.
LPAC has joined the Arapahoe County Adopt-a-Road program, and we're organizing our first cleanup day!
We are planning on cleaning the one-mile stretch of South Himalaya Street, between Quincy and Reservoir, in unincorporated Arapahoe County.
We will be meeting at 1:30pm at Aspen Crossing Elementary, which is in the middle of the stretch, to hand out supplies, safety equipment, and t-shirts. We'll work the stretch of road from 2-4pm.
After the cleanup, we will gather at a nearby restaurant (TBA) to relax and celebrate our accomplishment.
If the 14th is inclement, we will postpone until the 15th at the same time. Should this be the case, we will contact those who RSVP by 10am the 14th, and post on this event page.
* Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age, and sign a liability waiver.*
We will have LPAC Volunteer T-shirts to wear during the cleanup. We will do our best to lend you the t-shirt size you need. Please specify your preferred size in the comments. Take into consideration you may be wearing it over a warmer article of clothing.
*These t-shirts may be purchased for $15, if you wish to have your own for future volunteer events.
