Libertarian Candidate in Parker

Hello I am Lily Tang Williams. I am thrilled to be the Libertarian Party's candidate for Colorado House District 44 this year.

As a Chinese Immigrant who lived under a Communist China Regime for 23 years, I know what it means to be free. When I was growing up, I was brainwashed and controlled by the Communist Party in every aspect of my life. I could not vote, could not speak my mind, could not own guns, and could not move to another place to live. The local police could pound our doors at midnight to come in without any search warrant. Our citizens could be arrested and disappear for a long time without a trail. I was so scared. I feared for my safety and my family's safety.

I came to America with $100 in my pocket to seek freedom and opportunities for a better life. My husband and I raised three great children in Parker, Colorado. We have been living the American middle class dream: worked hard, bought a house, raised kids, have a dog, and have two cars. But I am afraid we (all of us!) are losing our dreams and freedom very fast after what the government did to us in the past and is still doing: bigger and more powerful government, more taxes and debts, more intrusions into our lives, gun control, less privacy, less liberty and fewer choices.

After having lived under tyranny, I do not want to lose any of our rights and freedom protected by the Constitution. I do not want to live in a country where the government tells you what to do with your money or body, what insurance you can and can't buy, what doctors you can keep, and what you can use to defend yourself and your family.

Big government is like a cancer. It will spread unless we stop it now. I will work hard to tell people my story as a Chinese immigrant. I will keep telling people: do not trust big government. Fight for your freedom or it will be gone.

Please spread my story and messages. Thank you for your support.
