Libertarians have always espoused the idea that community involvement and private charity are great alternatives to big government "solutions." The Libertarian Party of Arapahoe County (LPAC) is committed to making the public aware of libertarian principles, and we will be volunteering, as a county Libertarian affiliate party, for various charitable and community-oriented organizations.
LPAC has joined the Arapahoe County Adopt-a-Road program, and we're organizing our third cleanup day!
We are planning on cleaning the one-mile stretch of South Himalaya Street, between Quincy Avenue and Reservoir Road, in unincorporated Arapahoe County.
We will be meeting at 3:30pm at Aspen Crossing Elementary, which is closer to the Reservoir Rd end of the stretch, to hand out supplies and safety equipment.
After the cleanup, we will gather at A-Town Pizza (a couple miles west at 17060 E Quincy Ave Aurora, CO 80015 -- SE corner of Quincy and Buckley, in the Target plaza) to relax and celebrate our accomplishment. There will also be an LPAC Board meeting, which you are welcome to attend.
* Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age, and sign a liability waiver.*
Please wear your LPAC Volunteer T-shirts during the cleanup if you have one. These t-shirts may be purchased for $15, if you wish to have your own for future volunteer events, but we are very limited on sizes currently.
You do not need to be from Arapahoe County to help with the effort! :)
