Introduction
My wife and I have been running a sewing pattern design company for about 5 years, but only now are getting serious about growth. We are interested in applying Lean Startup ideas, including to innovate with the format of consumer sewing patterns.
What do you hope to learn from the group?
Most of all I would like to learn accounting techniques and metrics that might be the most useful to help us understand our baseline and design useful experiments.
What do you have to teach the group?
One experience of bootstrapping a business. We started with absolutely no cash investment (or even the intention to start a "business" much less a "startup"). As we've gone, we've taken baby steps that have advanced us to the point of beginning to hire employees.
