Tell us a little about yourself: where are you from, when did you move here, etc.

I'm from SoCal, born right in Santa Monica where I spent most of my life (Moved to Utah for a short spell then went back to the sun). I've always been into technology and politics (Though I know the "P" work can be taboo with some and don't talk about it much unless it's clear others want to), as well as being a big fan of science fiction. I'm pretty open to trying new things and discussing any sort of topic, within reason of course. I frequently enjoy going out to Universal Studios for half a day just to relax, or hanging out with friends at a local mall or on the ol' Xbox. I'm a dog person through and through but like all sorts of animals as long as they don't make me sneeze too much!

What do you do for living?

On-site and remote tech support.

What kind of food do you like, do you have any recommendations for restaurants?

Italian, Mexican, Thai, Sushi, I know what I like but I'm generally willing to try new things. I prefer a casual atmosphere and relaxed meal over something terribly complex or a place that is just flat out loud. It's also nice to sometime grab meal on the go, like stoing at a yogurt shop while on stroll, or a burger shack on the bike path (Though picnic's aren't really my thing, unless it's at the Hollywood Bowl). Some of my favorite local restaurants include P.F. Changs, Swingers, Sushi King, Rosti's and Louise's Trattoria.

Finally......what do you hope to get out of this group?

I'm really just looking forward to meeting new people and hopefully making some new local friends of either gender to hang out with from time to time. It's hard to make new friends after college as I'm sure many are aware. This seems like a pretty good way to accomplish that goal...

Introduction

My name is Matthew, a local of Santa Monica. Looking to meet some new folks and just relax and have fun.
