THE largest and best attended Independence Day Festival in the area. Last year the event drew 20,000!
Each year at the Fourth of July, Hagan Park is transformed into exciting festival grounds. White fences embroider the edges of fun, once-a-year activities. A carnival moves in where baseball is normally played. Pedal boats appear on the Hagan Park ponds, and tents pop up everyplace. And while organizers claim there are "101 Things to Do" on Picnic Day, in truth, there are many more. For more details, see 25th Annual Rancho Cordova 4th of July websigte.

Pablo Cruise is playing here on July 3rd. Remember them? They are a great band to see on a hot summer day. If you want to take a listen, then visit the Pablo Cruise website . I will try to check on the starting time as there is no time listed on the event website.
Disclaimer of sorts: there are often official "rules" of no alcohol, however we learned at this venue 3 years ago from a local who said he'd been coming for 20 years and was right out in the grove at the picnic tables next to the stage with wine & beer. A couple of years ago, we had cops come right next to us (for someone else's problem) out in the middle of the crowd where each of us brought a bottle or two and were sharing very joyously;-) Discretion is the word! We typically bring a blanket to sit on, a bottle to share and a small picnic.
