*It is the first Thursday of the month again and that means wine tasting and pizza at Basic Urban Kitchen. This time it is Boeger Winery visiting with some of their award winning wines from the Sierra Foothills.

*In the three decades since Boeger Winery was founded, they have been committed to only one standard: quality. They have built on their education and experience to produce exceptional wines. They are able to control the quality of their wines because they grow over 90% of their grapes. They are small enough to allow full attention to detail.

Boeger is committed not only to making the highest quality wines, but to pushing the boundaries of winemaking as well. Greg Boeger was one of the state's first producers of a varietal Merlot when it was virtually unheard of in California. Today he is a pioneer of innovative blends, drawing from over twenty-five varieties of grapes grown at the estate. Boeger is quickly becoming known for bringing new and uncommon varietals to the market place.

* Basic will be providing their delicious gourmet pizza, but you may want to get there before 7:00 if you want free pizza with your wine tasting. There will also be live music.

*Basic has a great space that our biggest crowd(s) of wine lovers have enjoyed in the past and we are sure this time will be just as popular. The pours per glass after the free tasting are generous and reasonably priced. Along with free pizza and hors d'oeuvres, Basic has you covered. At 8:00 pm the tasting, free pizza and live music ends, but the party isn't over, they will continue with a Live DJ and $3 drink specials.
