Blind tasting all whites or reds will fall into "varietals from anywhere" and segment these groups into two automatically. Please draw an @ symbol in a conspicuous place when you bring your bottle if this is what you want. Have any comment, question or suggestion for your fellow Wine Lovers? Put it here in the Message Board so that others can respond or learn from: http://www.meetup.com/luv-wine/about/]http://www.meetup.com/luv-wine/messages/boards/thread/7967763 |

In seeing the little response for these great trips to Lodi, Amador, & Napa, with the 1st two being of such great budget minded trips, I'm thinking that at over 500 people there's just not the interest unless it says "Free" in the event or it's local. I don't want to waste our time when we can just go on our own which isn't as fun, yet we can take in more. Unfortunately more when driving isn't conducive to the laws of our wonderful land. Before I start setting up several limo or preferably motor coach trips (cheaper) for you Wine Lover's, I need to know if your even interested. PLEASE, don't vote if you don't intend to follow up with ACTIONS. Good intentions are B.S. and Action speaks volumes. |

This was just for fun to let the community know what's expected when one shows up with a bottle from the beloved "Chucky";-0 It's not to appear snobbish because if you truly like something, your taste isn't wrong, it's most probably because of your specific diet habits (such as lot's of sugar intake, etc.) and also it's often an undeveloped palate. This applies of course to many things in life and this group is in "know" way meant to be some exclusive club. This poll is meant to be for fun and will be an on-going poll that will maybe reflect the general Wine Lover's attitude. So if we make fun of you for drinking "girly wine" then just suck it up and laugh along with us. Oh, and the girly wine comment is just a joke like the governator's "girly man". I think I know more women who like the big bold wines then men;-0 |

A video series of historical figures in the wine industry is now being created, and I've become involved through a non profit out of Napa. What gets done with this video footage is still in question. I'd like to show Wine Lover's of Sacramento the footage captured thus far of Robert and Margrit Mondavi and get ideas where you think we should take this project. The footage though rough and uncut is still very interesting and you should find this one of those rare opportunities to participate in something that could become quite important in history. Robert is in his 90's and has been in poor health, so what is seen here could be the last great memoirs of his life. Of course we need to have wine at this event! Please check off if you will participate, weekday or weekend evening, BYOB, or wine provided at a cost, will you take notes of the video, participate in brief comments and suggestions at the end. |
