Symposium--
etymology: Latin, from Greek symposion, from sympinein to drink together, from syn- + pinein to drink -- 1 a : a convivial party (as after a banquet in ancient Greece) with music and conversation b : a social gathering at which there is free interchange of ideas 2 a : a formal meeting at which several specialists deliver short addresses on a topic or on related topics. Writing is generally a solitary art, but even cave-dwellers wrote and painted together. Although solitude can be an important aspect of great writing, it is more often human interaction, that brings forth the finest work. Most professionals, whatever their field, find it invaluable to regularly meet with others having similar interests. The simple exchange of ideas and information; the values of trust and community all meld together into a stimulating experience unmatched by isolation.

The talented members of The Lehigh Valley Writers Symposium have found a productive synergy and camaraderie in sharing of information, ideas, energy and collaboration.

We are an action-oriented group. We get together at least twice a month---live--real-world meetings, with exuberant interaction. We exchange ideas, critiques, and works-in-progress online between meetings.

We?re discussing copyright, agents, markets, character, plot. We expect to grow into a valuable resource for both writers and for the community at-large.

Enjoy the poster video and read some REVIEWS
of Jeffery B. Allen's book.

All this takes many hands, many minds and many talents. If you have collateral abilities; illustration, editing, cover design, etc., share your knowledge, share your skills. We?re looking forward to meeting you!
