The best way to learn, they say, is to teach. here we all learn and teach each other. Don't worry-no one can steal your ideas or information! They are useless without YOUR unique vision, passion and experience.
Very shortly I hope to introduce a few projects where each of us contribute something, e.g.: a short story, a poem, a recipe or some special insight or technique that writers can benefit from. When we have sufficient material we can shop it around!
I have always been fascinated with words and every aspect of writing; derivations, language, grammar, syntax, debate, argument, humor, rhetoric, drama, thought, speech, expression, communication, publication, letterforms, fiction, drama, etc.
All that and more, (if sufficiently motivated)! I carry a camera (and spare batteries) with me at all times, as I've done for many years. Many of my photos have become very valuable in many surprising ways! Marketing of words is my Next Challenge!
Yes to all. I write well because I have to, but I need to learn to organize compelling concepts, characters, dialog, action plotlines and get published. One big problem: Too many ideas and projects.
Trying to become a more organized and accomplished writer has led me to the wonders of Meetup. It has been a priceless treasure to meet and talk with all of you.
"The growth of this group has been so rewarding! PLEASE feel free to contact me with YOUR ideas, input, questions or concerns. We are so much stronger today than a year ago. I can hardly imagine what next year will bring! "
YOU WRITE BECAUSE IT's a hobby, a passion, a craft, an art, a compulsion, a form of therapy, a business, a dream, an escape, a promise, a story that needs to be told, a letter that needs to be sent, a screenplay that deserves to be produced, a novel that must be published, a collection of poems or stories that ought to be read, a manual that can help others, an inspiration that will enrich lives, a humorous way of looking at the world, a tragedy to learn a lesson from, or a million other possible reasons, but YOU WRITE! Now come join with your fellow writers and talk about writing. It will do you a world of good!
You must be signed in to post a Greeting.
"Rhonda, Thanks for all of your support, encouragement and great ideas. I'm sure we'll see more great things from you soon."
"Hello Thomas, Welcome to the Lehigh Valley Writer's Symposium and Congratulations on getting your first book published. I'm sure you will learn a lot from us and we will learn a lot from you!"
