If you want to see how one of the best design teachers from SAIC teaches web site design, you need to join us!
I'm very pleased to announce that Michel Ségard will be our guest speaker for our May event. Michel has more than 30 years of experience in communication design with an emphasis on small print publications and web site interface design. Michel was on the faculty of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and developed the first for-credit course on the subject. He was also a proposal designer for one of the world's largest professional services firms for 24 years.
He will be talking about the principles of web site design. He'll show us how the many elements of a web site can work together when done well, and how to create sites that are very well designed. This will include colors, fonts, layout, and much more.
He will not be showing us any particular web design software, but the principles that can be used by web site creators in virtually any software system.
