This was awesome. Thanks to the hosts and bringers of snacks. Great playtesters. Lots of cool designs to play. I'm all about this. Looking forward to next month already. I'll be happy to pitch in for snacks next time. Or pizza or whatever. Just let me know what is needed.

Whoops, next month should actually be Protospiel! For the PerBlue venue, that would be in two months (next one Sat. Nov 22nd) and of course don't forget "Quick Fix Game Design Meetup" every other Thursday (Oct. 9th & 23rd, Nov. 6th & 20th, Dec. 4th & 18th) and of course the famous Second Monday that got it all started (and... beer!) Oct 13th, Nov. 10th and Dec. 8th. Whew, that's a lotta gaming!

Wow, lots more folks! (I'm sorry I didn't get to meet everyone directly, and I'll try to keep track of those I met only briefly...) Had Dad & Nick & a friend of Brandon's play 3-player "Icebreaker" (Z's brilliantly-simplified version of RamShrike, normally 2-player) and learned lots about timing the end of the game compared to Navy goals / victory conditions (something like Navy delivers 4 times is uncond. victory, less than 3 is uncond. loss, and whether game goes on to 15+ turns matters hugely...)Played a coupla rounds of Steven's Midnight Station, where the group did somewhat better than expected...There was much discussion of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gess (with some rule mis-interpretations from me; sorry) and we tinkered around with the mechanics a bit...And rounded out the evening with some card RPG (apparently there was a different one earlier in the day? sorry I missed it)... through which my musclebound char. mostly slept, which I valiantly acted out. :-)

I keep wanting to go to one of these, but my dumb RPG is still in the super early design phase. =\

Bring it anyways!
Yeah, never too early for play testing.
yeah, seriously. One of the most common mistakes in game design: waiting to long to test.
I totally agree, but right now the game comprises of rolling 1 dice vs 2 numbers.
Waiting list? BREAK DOWN THE DOORS!!!
Hope to make it one of these days....

For some reason it defaults to an 8 person limit. There is obviously room for more.
And yeah, you'd better make it some day!
