Community Drum/Dance Circle

Hello everyone,

Thank you to all the people that made it to our community drum circle and welcome to all the people that recently joined our gathering. Our community drum circle is free and open to all. In our drum circle we have no goal or destination. There is only the experience of the process, arriving in each moment. We are here to improvise and release and take the energy that will create balance in our lives. We will use this playful, expressive and energetic environment to collaborate to create music as a community. So please join us at Goodman Community Center 149 Waubesa St, Madison, WI 53704, (608)[masked] on Sunday, November 17, 1-3pm. We will be drumming in the Teen Center Loft or if the weather is nice we will be by the bike path. There will be instrument provided but if you have your own feel free to bring it. I hope to see you there.

 ONE SOUND, Elmore Lawson

I don't own a drum or a hoop, but I still may come and check It out.

I just got an email from my architect and Sunday midday works for him to come and look the place over before final inspections. I actually did the architectural design but was required to hire an architect because I "had too much volume". It is nice to almost be done building and finishing. Then this venue can be used for many purposes and be a boon to the community. Drum circles, beekeeping workshop, weddings and birthday exploring the arts, elderly doing quilting or just hanging out with a young child on their lap who doesn't know his grandparents and learning "I've been working on the railroad"
Looking forward to providing an extraordinary place for all kinds of meetups.

I don't seem to be a natural at drumming or hooping; both have become a part of my world through people I love. It will be fun to meet more such creative people...
