Winter Solstice Yule Log Bonfire & Hike
When: Friday, December 17, 2010 6:30 PM
Where: Indian Lake Park
8183 Hwy 19
Cross Plains, WI 53528
Celebrate the winter solstice! We will light the Yule Log, a traditional treat, enjoy winter solstice storytelling, bonfire bites, and a moonlight hike during this month's full moon gathering at Indian Lake.
Although it is too cold for our drum circle, it would be a great time to re-connect and talk about upcoming circles. Feel free to bring a percussion instrument you can play wearing gloves! I will bring some to share.
The fire will be burning late into the night, so feel free to join us later in the evening.
What to bring: Bonfire Bites to Share & Your Own Beverage
Headlight or Flashlight
Chair for the Bonfire
Snowshoes (optional)
Friends from the
Wisconsin Outdoor Group &
Madison Area Outdoor Group are invited.
Parking & Pets Ample parking--No fee. Dog friendly park!
Directions The main entrance to Indian Lake Park is located on Hwy 19 about two miles west of US Highway 12. Look for a roaring fire at the shelter house located prior to the main parking lot as you enter the park.
