Doctrine 2: Time to Visit the Library

Doctrine is "a selected set of PHP libraries primarily focused on providing persistence services and related functionality". If you have no idea what this vague description means, this talk is for you. Come learn what Doctrine is, why it's more than just an ORM, and why it may be a good fit for your next project. We'll be covering installation, using the provided command line tools, and how to work with Entities and relationships.

Speaker: Michael Williams
Michael has been a PHP developer since 2006 and a member of  Madison PHP since 2010. Currently, he's a Senior Software Engineer for Kaplan Professional and before that, he did e-commerce development for a Wisconsin-based Internet retailer. On the side, he enjoys tinkering with text-based games (MUDs) and doing side projects.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
