What Not To Do or Programming Basics

There's more to programming than knowing how to make the computer do what you want. What /not/ to do is as important as what to do. Jonathan Yankovich will go over some techniques and define some terms like Spagetti Code, Good variable names, Why to use classes and objects, When to use include files, and more. We may also cover hooks and writing code thats designed to be overridden. We'll think about project management and what it means to work on a project where you're not the only developer, and share stories about inheriting projects from people who didn't follow best practices. Keep away from bad karma in your programming projects, know what /not/ to do! Come for a meet at greet with fellow developers at 6:30 and stay for the presentation at 7:00.

The weather was too bad, so we're rescheduling the presentation.

We could possibly record - Anyone have a simple way to do that?

Thursdays are not good for me, for a few more weeks. Any chance this could be recorded for viewing later?
