Got some bad news. Our June Science Pub speaker is not going to be able to make it. He just called me from the Chicago airport where he arrived from San Francisco this morning and has had a flight delayed so he won't be back in Madison in time for SciPub.
Next month we have Mahesh Mahanthappa, an assistant professor in the UW Chemistry Department. He will speak about his research in developing new biodegradable polymers, the origins and impact of polymer science, large scale production of polymers, and the social and political impacts of commodity chemical processes on society.
Sorry for any inconvenience this might have caused, but we'll be back on track for Science Pub in July.
