UW Credit Union’s Responsive Redesign: Behind the Scenes

  • May 19, 2014 · 6:00 PM
  • UW Credit Union - Main Office

Madison-based UW Credit Union has 221,000 members, with 120,000 regular users on their online banking site, and 40,000 regular users on their mobile site.

UW Credit Union’s web development team is finishing up a major redesign, the goal of which is to have one flexible codebase that delivers an excellent user experience and offers all of our features regardless of screen size. This poses many challenges, such as fitting everything on the smallest screens, delivering a high quality experience on large screens, handing different input types, supporting older browsers and ensuring a high level of performance.

During the presentation, the web development team from UW Credit Union will give an overview of the new, responsive site and share specific examples of the challenges they faced during the project. Attendees will get an exclusive first look at the next generation of online banking from UW Credit Union.

SCHEDULE

Meetup begins at 6pm, presentation at 6:30pm.

Terrific presentation... As a longtime UW Credit Union member I have also appreciated the web branch features but never knew the amount of thought that went into designing it... great UI... keep up the good work and thanks for sharing

James & UWCU Internet Services staff. Thank you so much for sharing your Responsive project with us. It was so interesting! I am so appreciative that you were willing to do that for us.
I must admit, I often have blinders on when I am totally focused on the stuff I am doing at work. It is really cool to see what others are doing.

Great talk all around; A thoughtful and well-presented look at the UWCU team's work-in-progress that spurred plenty of insightful discussion. A+.

Big thanks to the team for sharing both their work and their space, and Ben for organizing.

Sorry! Was really looking forward to attending, but am sick, and am going to the doctor this afternoon. I try to plan something, and then things change! I will be fine, and look forward to attending next time! Best regards, Susan

Everyone please remember to park in the back of the 3500 University Avenue building and enter through the back. There will be signs to guide you to the back parking lot and someone will be at the rear door to help steer you to our Community Room.

    Thanks!
