What is your background in web design? Just a few sentences.

I was moved from Graphic Designer to Web Designer during my tenure at Electronic Theatre Controls in Middelton Wi. After 14 years I left to start working for a company in Milwaukee called The Prestwick Group and to work on more projects on my own. I've gone from hacking HTML and CSS to display properly in IE 5.5 for Mac to gracefully adopting the new standards of HTML and CSS3.

Do you do web programming? If so, which languages? (I.e., ASP, Java, PHP, Rails, Python, ColdFusion, etc.)

All the classics. HTML, PHP, ASP (classic, none of that .net silliness), JavaScript, JQuery, CSS, and ActionScript (although less and less).

A GIF leaves Long Island at 2 p.m. heading south at 72DPI, while a TIF leaves Philadelphia at 3 p.m. heading north at 300 DPI. Given their resolutions, what time will they collide?

Depends. If they're utilizing transparency, they may just pass right through each other.

I'm a web designer from Sun Prairie who works on freelance projects as well as full time at a company in the Milwaukee area. My background is in Graphic Design, but 10 years ago I switched focus to web programming.
