Also, I neglected to give Joe Nelson, a local Rails developer, a quick slot after Ryan to demo his Open Source project Lucre. It is a Rails-based application for use with Stripe.

It's the simplest possible e-commerce interface which builds on Stripe to provide secure (tokenized) credit card processing. It fits into the niche where you want to accept informal payments as needed, and don't need to keep track of a shopping cart. It's free to use and takes about 10-20 minutes for a developer to set up.
