Upcoming Mobile Development Conference, Article On Women in Tech

From: Ben S.

Dear Members:

Thanks to all who attended the Hackademia.edu presentation and discussion last night. It was very engaging - thanks to our presenter/facilitator Adam Braus as well. Adam is a director of 100State, a coworking/entrepreneur support/community brainstorming center of sorts. I encourage you to check them out.

An excellent article by Susan Sons in Linux Journal about women in tech fields:
http://www.linuxjournal.com/content/girls-and-software

Finally, I'm looking for presenters from large local companies like American Girl, Lands' End, Trek. They are hard to wrangle, but we'll keep trying. Meetup members with contacts at these firms, please email [address removed] with subject "Meetup Presenter."

We're working on a meta-meetup for March - stay tuned.

Cheers,

Ben Seigel
Wrangler of Local Techies
