Social Media/Tech-Savvy Volunteers needed for Madison Nonprofit Day, Oct 2

From: Ben S.
Sent on: Saturday, September 27, 2014, 4:23 PM

Dear Members:

The 2014 Madison Nonprofit Day Conference is scheduled for October 2 at Monona Terrace Convention Center. With more than 30 workshops, two plenaries, exhibits, and networking opportunities, it is the region’s best opportunity to receive groundbreaking, engaging, and inspiring training and education, and we need your help.

Do you know how to use LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and / or other modern technology? Do you geek-out about 3D printing, internet security, donation buttons, designing websites, sending email campaigns, discovering and using new tools? Are you willing to help others learn?

We need people to staff our social media / tech room. It's our own little conference genius bar, a room where people can stop by and quickly ask and learn.

We expect questions from "How to tweet?" to "How would my organization use 3D printing?" Our goal is to find a nice array of friendly, technology and social media geeks who are willing to provide answers by taking a 1hr or 2hr shift during the day.

More info and links to register for volunteer shifts are on the conference website at http://madisonnonprofitday.org/2014/#section-volunteer

Requirements: 1-2hrs of availability between 9am and 5pm on Thursday, 2 October 2014. A willingness to answer questions and provide assistance with technology to social media and tech newbies.

Orientation: If you can make it stop by Monday, September 29, between 5:30-6:15pm at Olbrich Botanical Gardens for a quick orientation. Otherwise, just select the social media / tech option from our volunteer website or call (608)[masked] if you wish to help.
