Are you ready to take part in a global conspiracy? Plan a face-to-face gathering with your fellow Mafia Wars fans and players in your city during the 1st Worldwide "Mafia Meetup" Day on Friday April 8th! On this day, meet new players in your area over coffee or drinks - share tips, plan your game strategy and grow your mafia, in-person.

Be the boss and organize your meetup to be as big as you can. Pick a time and location; spread the word and get as many of your friends involved as possible. We'll be sending out special "Mafia Meetup Starter Kits" to any meetup group that has 50+ RSVPs, OR to the Top 5 largest meetup groups - whichever is more! The deadline for the RSVP Count for the starter kits is March 28th at 12:00am PST so we can send out the starter kits in time; that doesn't mean you have to stop inviting your friends after that time!

This is your chance for you and your fellow Mafia Wars fans to shine; don't let them down! Use this space to figure out the "where" and the "how". You are in charge now - get out there and tell all your friends!

LOCATION: Houndstooth Pub located at 520 8th Ave, NY NY (37th & 8th). DOWNSTAIRS - look for the MAFIA WARS MEET-UP sign!

SPECIALS: $5 pint of the day, which on Friday's is Yuengling, and $7 for Cosmo's Martini's and Appletini's. These are made with Houndstooth Pub's house infused vodka which changes each season. In addition any other drink made with their house infused vodka is $7.

A Zynga team is flying out from San Francisco to join us for this event! There will be Mafia Wars giveaways and more!!

Hey Mafia peeps! How is everyone doing? I had a blast meeting the many faces behind the characters. And I must say I was expecting to see the freaks come out at night but I'm glad to say you guys are genuinely all cool & for the most part normal ..... LOL I was happy to see how much Passion & knowledge you guys had for the game. Thank you for the many tips & tricks I got to pick.up from you guys. I'll be looking up you guys online for.those who left me their info.

Being the curious cat that I am and since I work in the 34th Street area @ Herald Square, I took a short walk over to the Houndstooth and a PRIVATE ROOM has been reserved for us. I toured the place and its very nice. We got plenty of space to either engage in meet & greets, we have our own bar area, and space to setup a play area.

- If you're worried about pricey food, across the street you have white castles, Subway's, Taco Bell, Dunkins Doughnuts & a Pax for the health conscious. there's a McD's a block over. The trains A,C,& E leave you on the corner of 34th & 8th & its a.short 3 block walk to 37th & 8th.

okay children, I'm finding this all very evil and equally asinine. My questions have yet to be answered: Can we get a private room at Dallas BBQ?one that is available for the entire evening? one that has a bar and has a few tables so that we are encouraged to walk around most of the evening and talk to other mw members, rather than sit down and eat? Is the room at the pub closed to non-mw members? Or is it equally public? Neither of these places sound particularly good for our needs.

Since the 2 places are equally bad, I am planning to go to BBQ early for a nice cheap dinner?which is what it's known for. I will look for any mw folks there, first. and check out the space. Then I will walk the entire 5 blocks downtown to the Houndstooth Pub, to check out the "crowd" to see if there are any mw members there and if I can locate them. The good thing is that I live only a few blocks from each. The bad thing is that this is supposed to be a friendly game between "adults."

I have to concur with the question of internet access. BBQ'S is a restaurant, not an internet cafe. I don't have a laptop personally. I play through my phone, though its slightly limited, during the day. And play on my IMAC when I get home. I suspect that those with laptops or IPads to surely bring them as this is about Mafia Wars I'm sure some tips & tricks will be discussed.

Thanks for all the input guys. The meet up is at the Houndstooth. This is firm and final. Dallas Bbq can not accommodate this type of meet up. Zynga will be at the Houndstooth and is promoting the Houndstooth as the event location. The Houndstooth is the only venue for this meet up. We hope to see you all there!

I want to make a Suggestion
WE have two Places that have been as selected after the fact of the First Place which Is Dallas BBQ
I choose that place due to Meeting the needs of the NY Fans
it has a great selection and the atmosphere is good
The Other place is Good also but is a Pub
The question was ask regarding the Internet and neither place offer it
I feel that we should allow everyone to decide

- The best place to meet would be at the steakhouse where Big Paul C. was rubbed out by John Gotti and crew. Somewhere where Mafia have history like Little Italy on Mulberry St.

I called Dallas BBQ - this is only a sit down restaurant. There is no bar area!! So I called the Houndstooth Pub - they are willing to accommodate us. We might even get our own room. Stay tuned....
