Who are we?
We are a friendly group of men and women aged 25 and above from all walks of life living and working around Maidenhead, Reading, Henley, High Wycombe, Marlow,Windsor and nearby areas. Our members a really mixed group made up of locals and both long and short term expatriates.
To provide opportunities for members to make new friends, attend events, participate in activities, try new activities and do things they like with other people. It is hoped that members will benefit by making long lasting friendships, help each other and learn more about their community.
When and why was Maidenhead Social created?
The group was created in April 2009 and was the idea of the organiser, Angela Rao who felt there was a need for a group, which could bring people together in a fun and relaxed environment.
Who runs the group?
The group is managed by Angela and assisted by four Assistant Organisers - Ellen, Mark, Peter, Jarek, Tina and Robert Newnham. We are all unpaid volunteers who despite our busy lives, research, plan and organise events on a regular basis.
We are not a professional social site so we are not providing paid for service. The funds collected on an annual basis is used to promote and administer the group.
