Come learn about polyculture design with local permies at this mini orchard planting in Gorham!
At this 90 minute, Saturday morning polyculture design course is a hands on learning opportunity. At this class, you will learn about:
• The functions of plants in a polyculture
• Sequencing strategies
• Space and pattern considerations
• How to choose plants for your own polyculture designs
• How to prepare the soil for a fruit tree planting
We will convene in the morning at the home of Dean and Laura Gironda at 10am. There will be coffee and bagels. We will circle up by 10:15 for class and start planting by 11 am.
Rachel Lyn Rumson will be teaching this class and the trees we are planting are trees she grafted at the grafting workshop in Portland earlier this Spring.
Please bring a pair of gloves and a shovel, if you have one.
Come meet up with other permies and learn about polyculture design!
