Hey prolific blitzers! In 15 months, we've done 12 blitzes. That's somewhere along the lines of 2100 hours of work/education/community-building/ resource sharing! Amazing!
The Resilience Hub/Zero Station has been the coordination point for all of them - an important resource, a necessary gathering space, resource and tool storage, etc. Now we have the opportunity to turn our blitz energies to the Hub itself!
Imagine an outdoor movie space/stage/deck area in the back accessible from the Bayside trail for those coming on bikes and tons of vertical and container growing space on a perfect south-facing concrete wall (hello, heat sink!)! We've got the go ahead to work collectively with Zero Station, the Aikido studio, and the bakery next door to make the space behind the hub into an outdoor community gathering space.
This will be a two part series of morning blitzes on Saturday, Sept 6 and Saturday, Oct 4. The first blitz will focus on clean up and clearing as much of the area behind the Resilience Hub is overgrown with bittersweet.
